My name is Ms. Coleman, and I am truly honored to serve as your child’s fourth-grade math teacher this year at Smith-Barnes Elementary School. This is my twelfth year in education and my second year as a proud member of the Smith-Barnes family. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Gordon State College, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Thomas University, and I recently earned my Math Endorsement for grades K–5.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my son, reading, drawing, and being with family and friends.

I strongly believe that educating a child is a collaborative effort between the teacher, parent, and student. By working together, we can support each child’s growth and ensure a successful and engaging school year. Parental involvement is truly invaluable, as it enriches students’ educational experiences and helps keep families connected to our classroom routines.

Each day I teach with purpose, care, and genuine love. My goal is to provide a learning environment filled with empathy, patience, and encouragement where every student feels supported and inspired to succeed.

I am excited to partner with you and your child this school year and look forward to an amazing journey of learning and growth together.
