My name is Abigail Harper, and I am honored to serve as the Registrar and Secretary at Smith-Barnes Elementary School. I have proudly been a part of the Smith-Barnes Elementary family for the past four years.

I was born and raised in Henry County and am a proud graduate of Woodland High School in Stockbridge, Georgia. I continued my education at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Following graduation, I spent five years working in the field of education, gaining valuable experience and developing a deep appreciation for supporting students and their families.

I was especially honored to be named Smith-Barnes Elementary’s 2026 ESPY of the Year, an achievement that I am incredibly grateful to have received.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, traveling, working on the computer, collecting books, and shopping. Most importantly, I have a genuine passion for working with children of all ages and supporting their growth, development, and success each day. It is a privilege to contribute to our school community and play a role in creating a positive and supportive environment where every student can thrive.
